Her debut line of ten natural-lip-tone-inspired nude-based lipsticks, which launched in Bergdorf Goodman in 1990 beneath the name Bobbi Brown Essentials, changed all that. Legend has it that Brown had hoped to sell one hundred lipsticks in a month; as a substitute she was promoting 100 in a day, and so the model (along with the nude-look make-up phenomenon) was born.
Jones Road’s funding construction allows the model to retain company — the corporate is completely self-funded, with Brown and her husband investing $2 million of their own cash to start the company in 2020.
