Qld jobless rate rises to 58 pc

Friday’s figure represented an improvement on March’s increase of 58.3 percent, Custodia cover Iphone 6/6S but much lower than the 54.8 percent seen in February.
The jump came in the jobs report due Sunday and could mark a further improvement in June’s unemployment rate, which was already well above the 50 percent level for most of the previous three months.

The rate is much above what had been a more stable 68.7 percent during the last recession and is just below the 58 percent average바카라 of the last 20 years. It was also a more than a full percentage point higher than the 66 percent seen in 2009 and 2010.
The rise in the unemployment rate may signal continued recovery of the United States’ labor market.
Last year, the country’s labor force participation rate, or labor participation rate, fell from a nearly 65 percent peak to a 57.7 percent low during the recession.
Friday’s rise was the first increase in the unemployment rate for seven months.
The previous high was 58.6 percent reported in April 2007 and the unemployment rate in that month declined from 65.2 percent in April 2002 to 66.8 percent in April 2003.
The overall decline in the labor force participation rate between August 2000 and August 2007 was 0.2 percentage point.
Friday’s increase was the second sharp drop in jobless rates in a month, Custodia cover Samsung S8 after Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta’s warning that the labor market was still in “disaster” from the continuing slowdown in wage growth and the slow rise in average weekly earnings as businesses lay off staff and cut jobs to trim expenses.
apronxHowever, the rise suggests that the recent decline in the jobless rate is still below what officials were expecting and also comes well before Acosta announced that a third consecutive month of no new job growth would start this week.
The current decline in the unemployment rate is also being driven by continued decreases in births, Custodia cover Samsung S6 which are now in a double-digits for the first time in 14 years. There were 8,400 fewer births in February than March,
